Passing Years

time ticks away

it goes by fast

you lose your grip

you want it to last

but life has forces

you can't control

you give and you take

it won't slow it's roll

when life brings you down

what can you do?

you look at photos

of the life you knew

while some are nice

and some are sweet

and some are of

a small retreat

you know it well

you cannot repair

the love and care

that was once there

it hurts to know
even if you tried

you cant heal it now

the love died inside!
